Little Owls was set-up in September 2014 by two mums who live in Ulgham village. Having our babies two weeks apart we decided a play group in the village would be a great way to bring local parents and carers together. The group is now run by one of the mum’s with help from her mum , as the other has had to give up the group due to starting her own business. We hope we will be able to provide an exciting and fun weekly group. Both having qualifications in childcare.
Our aim is for Little Owls to be a friendly and welcoming environment for children and their carers to socialise. we will provide a range of activities and toys to encourage play and enjoyment while enhancing development.
We believe that the group’s activities should be open to all children under five. We believe that no child, individual or family should be excluded from the group on the grounds of age, gender, sexuality, class, family status, means, disability, ethnic origin, culture, religion or belief.
The group will be suitable for newborns up to age five and we hope we will provide quiet spaces and room to let off steam! Please see our photo gallery to get an idea of what will be on offer.
Little owls is a non-profit group and we hope to raise money for equipment and toys through fundraising events throughout the year. We are a member of the Pre-School Learning Alliance.
